Burlesque Classes
Miss La Vida teaches 3 different day courses in various aspects of burlesque: The Glamour Goddess Course which includes 2 sessions using props and a hair and makeup class, The Bare Essentials Course which is a striptease class, and the Sally Rand Course which teaches large ostrich fan dancing. Further details can be found below. Courses take place on a Sunday but dates are set according to demand. Sally Rand Course
This is a unique opportunity to learn a choreographed routine using large ostrich fans. The course is named after the 20s burlesque star who is said to be the first performer to use the props (pictured left). You will be taught a 3 minute routine using fans measuring 21"x38" as seen in the photo below. The course is strictly limited to 4 people as I only have 4 pairs of fans. The Bare Essentials. One Day Intensive Striptease Course.
Would you like to give your special someone a real treat? How about performing a stylish and sultry routine that is sure to make them weak at the knees?
The course includes a 2 hour lesson where you'll be taught a choreographed striptease routine, ready for you to perform to your special somebody, plus a lesson on what to wear and not to wear when doing striptease.
You will also receive a pair of Sophia Lee nipple tassels. And for those who are game, you have the choice of being taught how to twirl them. 
Please be aware that there is an element of nudity in this class, as you will be learning how to remove clothing with elegance and tease. You will, for example, learn how to easily remove your bra, but you will wear something underneath it so that you are not totally exposed.
You will be required to have certain items of underwear such as a suspender belt and stockings. Further details will be given to you upon registration.
The course costs $130 and space is limited to 8 people only. A non-refundable deposit of $40 is required upon registration. The course will take place in a small and secure studio where peeping toms will not be able to see you. And you will be given a CD with the music for the routine.

One Day Intensive Burlesque Course.
Suitable for All Levels.
The Glamour Goddess course includes two 90 minute sessions taught by myself, award winning burlesque sensation, Miss La Vida. You will also be given a one hour hair and makeup tutorial by Honey L'Amour (picutred below) on how to achieve the vintage pinup look.
The course will focus on movement with props, namely boas and small feather fans, learning how to use these to tease your audience. All props will be provided. You will also learn a few striptease tips. Whether you have done one of my hen parties or attended my previous workshops or even if you've never done a burlesque class before, you're guaranteed to learn something new and discover the glamour goddess within.

Below is a breakdown of the day:
Session 1: 50s Bump 'n' Grind. 11.00-12.30.
You will learn a few simple moves from the Golden Age of Burlesque, the 1950s. We'll then put these moves into a routine with feather boas and gloves. This is fun and cheeky burlesque which will guarantee to put a wiggle in your walk and a giggle in your talk.
Session 2: Vintage Vixens: 13.00 – 14.30
In this session, you will use small hand fans to learn essential movements to seduce your audience. You will also have the chance to use a large ostrich fan, like the ones used by burlesque performers. This session will focus more on seduction and sensuality.
Hair and Makeup Tutorial: 15.00 – 16.30
Honey L'Amour will teach you how to achieve the classic, vintage glamour look. She will show you how to pincurl your hair, demonstrating on willing volunteers. Please bring your own makeup which should include; black liquid eyeliner, powder/matt foundation, red lip liner, red lipstick, mascara, blush, neutral eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil. *If you don't already have all these items, don't worry about buying them as you may be able to use some of Honey's.*
